It Has To Be Done, But...

This is one of those eviction stories that might end up as a tragic news story.

So, recently, I’ve posted about an uncle sharing residence with me and with the way he’s been living, I’m going to be broke because of the utilities and he simply doesn’t care.

I just got the okay to evict him and his stuff...

... But here’s the problem.

He’s... Well, he’s a bible-thumping nutjob... Squared .

And considering his history (car accidents, just got thrown out of grandmother’s residence by HOA, etc.), I feel like this might end badly for me.

So I guess this might be my last page, after all. Going to the police station to try and ask for suggestions as to how I can evict him without an issue (otherwise... Yeah. You get the gist.)

But yeah. In case something does happen to me, well... Thanks, Oppo, for being there for me and making me chuckle on the daily content.

This is Satoshi, signing off... For now. And I hope to come back.

I do not envy you this task. I’ve had to deal with religious zealots and bigots in my mom’s side of the family. In the 90s, I just wrote ‘em off and decided I didn’t need that nonsense. There’s likely a funeral coming up, and I am sure at least one of them will go off on my Japanese SigOther of 12 years.

At minimum, change the locks.

If he’s your uncle, maybe get your dad or somebody else from the family to also be there, just to make sure he knows he’s the one that’s fucking up, not you.

He knows, but I have a feeling this might not be easy.

Can you see if the police station can afford an officer to back you up? Or maybe your landlord as well?

My landlord practically told me he couldn’t be bothered out of fear of their own safety. As much as I like the area, that made me itch on handing in my letter telling them to end the lease.

The police station, on the other hand... I could probably call them and see.

Good luck mate. Be strong. Don’t give in to emotions (his or yours) and if need be have a family member with you to back you up and don’t be afraid to call the police if things escalate.

You wouldn’t by chance have any racist asshats in your family running for the senate, would you?

Does he have a gun?

Give them a call and see. Some police departments are “too busy” for things like that, and others are super helpful. Can’t hurt to ask.

No, but sadly that sort of behavior is evident at many family functions. “The schvartzes took my neighborhood!” Some old Jews, the victims of bigotry themselves, have their own demons.

No, but an access to all the kitchen knives, unfortunately.

Just gave my local police department a call:

Since he’s been living there for a good month now, he’s now part of the residence and I need to call an attorney.

Balls. Good luck, sounds like a shitty situation.
